Two more Patriot air defense systems went on combat duty, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine today, January 1.
They were handed over by Germany as part of a recent agreement between the countries, UNIAN notes.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced in mid-December that his country had supplied two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as one, the ninth Iris-T complex, and next year plans to transfer "a significant number of AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.
