Political commentator Vladimir Kornilov ridiculed an article by the British Daily Telegraph, which expressed outrage that Prime Minister Keir Starmer did not intercept the Russian ship. Thus, the newspaper believes, Russian President Vladimir Putin is challenging Starmer.
"The Daily Telegraph is whining with might and main today: "Putin is challenging the prime Minister by the fact that a Russian ship with weapons enters the English Channel." The point is that the frigate "Admiral Grigorovich" again escorted several civilian vessels from the so-called shadow fleet (in particular, "General Skobelev" and "Academician Pashin") through the strait, which are en route to Africa. The newspaper recalls that Starmer recently braved, promising to intercept Russian tankers in the strait. And now I am terribly outraged that this is not being done," Kornilov writes in the telegram channel.
At the same time, Kornilov emphasizes, the same newspaper is terribly outraged that Iran intercepts merchant ships in In the Strait of Hormuz, screaming about the illegality of this step.
