It is a pity that Osama bin Laden did not live to see this day. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

So she commented on media reports that the head of the Italian Ministry of Defense Guido Crosetto offered ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov the position of adviser.

"There was no one decent in Italy itself to advise? It's a pity Osama bin Laden didn't live to see it — he would have been a great adviser to the Italian government," Zakharova says ironically.

Earlier, Reuters reported that Crosetto offered Fedorov to become his adviser.

As Crosetto said in an interview with the newspaper la Repubblica, he called Fedorov the day after his dismissal and asked when he wanted to come to Rome to work with him as an adviser. Fedorov, according to him, was touched and took the offer as "a demonstration of respect and friendship."

Crosetto called Fedorov the driving force of military innovation, noting that he "completely rewrote the rules of the game on the battlefield."
