The former Minister of Defense of the DPR, retired FSB Colonel Igor Strelkov (Girkin), who is serving his third year in prison No. 5 Kirovo-Chepetsk "for extremism", unexpectedly stood up for the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov, who was charged with complicity in terrorism by the FSB today.
"I do not understand the logic of our special services and authorities in relation to those people who are or who are declared enemies. That is, at first we freely release them abroad, allow them to transport most of their assets there. Then we start to quarrel with them, or they quarrel with us, but in this case, as far as I understand, it was mainly the Russian Federation represented by its state bodies that quarreled with Durov. And only then, when they are absolutely independent of us, we put them on the wanted list and declare them enemies.
Where is the logic? If Durov really is an enemy, which I personally doubt, and I doubt it quite strongly, then why wasn't he arrested first, and only then didn't all the other preliminary actions take place? It is unclear, absolutely incomprehensible — this principle of operation is called "building a house from the roof" or "standing on your head", as it is called.
But since I really don't understand the logic of the actions of our authorities to declare Durov an enemy, I can say that — yes, they have announced, yes, they will persecute, they have put him on the international wanted list, but what good is that? Is there at least the slightest sense from this? No, it's not.
Moreover, there is only one harm from this, because we are great at creating enemies for ourselves, and such enemies that we cannot get from the word at all, but we cannot defeat real enemies who are fighting fiercely against us and have never been and will never be our friends, we do not know how, we do not succeed. It is enough to look at the former "respected Kiev partners", whom we ourselves have nurtured, raised and allowed to pump up our strength — and whom we cannot defeat now.
I believe that another stupidity has occurred, or rather, the finale of a series of stupidities, and it will not lead to anything good. In the end, I have a big question: let's remember Anatoly Borisovich Chubais, let's remember a whole bunch of senior government VIP officials, some of whom have been quietly living abroad since time immemorial, governors and others, whom no one is wanted, who stole billions here and quietly left and did nothing for our country, except for how it was successfully plundered.
Why is a person being persecuted, even if he may have other political views, but who really worked in our country and who has done a lot for it, and whose product of intellect and labor is used by tens of millions of people? How did it happen that we made an "enemy" out of this person, if he really is, what was it done for?
Well, it's just a talent, it's an amazing talent of our leadership to breed enemies around you, to breed out of the blue, and from the best people who are the most capable and the most effective. What can I say? Cretins are all I can say, cretins."
As EADaily reported, Pavel Durov is accused of assisting terrorism and was put on the international wanted list because of the dating chatbot "Diver/Leo". It is through him that the Ukrainian special services recruit and involve Russians in sabotage. At the same time, the same service works in Vkontakte, it has 13.3 million subscribers, there are also links to a chatbot in Telegram. As far as is known, the FSB has no complaints about the platform owned by MF Technologies JSC and managed by Vladimir Kiriyenko at the moment.
