In the Russian real estate market, a new scheme is now in use, replacing the "Valley scheme" that has already remained in the past. One such case with a "taste" of the 90s informs the Telegram channel MASH, describing a recent case of buying an apartment in St. Petersburg.
The man bought real estate in the old fund of the northern capital for 8 million rubles. He spent about the same amount on repairs, but then a certain uncle Tolya, who has a document for the right of indefinite residence, came to his apartment.
The buyer immediately turned to the seller, who was aware of the rights and capabilities of Tolya. The scheme is as follows — in the 90s, he refused his own share in the apartment in favor of another person and received an indefinite right to live. The seller, in response to all the indignation, advised only to get used to Tolya.
The man went to court, but there he confirmed that the law is entirely on the side of pensioners, who cannot be evicted. Experts of the real estate world, discussing such cases about "eternal" residents, advise when buying to study the entire history of prescriptions since the collapse of the USSR and the formation of the Russian Federation, otherwise there are big risks.
