The soloist of the bands "Lapis Trubetskoy" and Brutto Sergey Mikhalok in Belarus received four years in a general regime colony. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic.

"He is charged with publicly insulting the President of the Republic of Belarus and deliberate actions aimed at inciting other social enmity and discord on the basis of a different social affiliation," the report says.

The ministry clarified that we are talking about the videos of 2021-2022 in the accounts of the Brutto group on social networks, where "videos containing a negative assessment of the President of the Republic of Belarus, expressed in an indecent, including non-normative form of speech expression" were posted.

In March 2022, at the same sites, he posted a video with a "negative assessment of groups of people united on the basis of professional affiliation: law enforcement officers and military personnel."

The Prosecutor General's Office indicated that Mikhalok left Belarus in 2020. The case was considered in the order of special proceedings.

"Taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the Minsk City Court ruled a guilty verdict," the press service of the supervisory authority concluded.
