The Chinese military demonstrated the type of drones that were supposed to become part of the system of countering Ukrainian back-up in the Black Sea, pushing this threat away from the shores of Russia, its warships and merchant ships by tens of kilometers. The authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors" write about this.
During the exercises of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA), the possibility of using reconnaissance and strike UAVs KVD002 to hit naval targets was demonstrated. To do this, an AR-1 air-to-surface missile with inertial and semi-active laser guidance was used from the drone.
KVD002 flies at a maximum speed of about 230 km/ h, altitude — up to 9 km and for 30-40 hours.
"Unmanned vehicles of this type were supposed to become part of the system of countering Ukrainian back-up in the Black Sea, pushing this threat away from Russian shores, warships and merchant vessels by tens of kilometers. In addition, the ability to carry radar, optical or electronic modules allows, in the presence of air-to-air missiles, to use them against air targets, that is, to destroy enemy UAVs in advance,"the Two Majors note.
