The attack of the UAV in Leipzig could have caused a catastrophe, since the Ukrainian An-124 was full of ammunition. This is reported by NDR.
"A drone with explosives at Leipzig airport apparently fell next to a cargo plane with military ammunition. This was the result of research by NDR, WDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung. According to the report, one of the planes arrived from France with ammunition that was supposed to be delivered to Ukraine," the note says.
It is noted that the drone contained explosives and hovered between Ukrainian An-124 Ruslan transport aircraft before an airport employee discovered it.
"Thus, the attack could have had catastrophic consequences," the TV channel concludes.
According to Süddeutsche Zeitung, it is known that the drone was spotted around midnight. He hovered at a low altitude right between the Ukrainian planes, and then there was, as stated in a confidential police report, "contact" with one of the airport employees, after which the drone fell to the ground.
At the same time, the object protection system did not detect the drone. According to the investigation, it could have been specially modified.
