The option proposed by the Yabloko party for the peaceful settlement of the armed conflict on the Ukraine looks like capitulation and betrayal of Russia.

This was stated in the MAX messenger by the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky. According to him, this is an attempt to repeat the Brest Peace Treaty of 1918.

"Signing peace with the bloody clown means surrendering Donbass and Novorossiya, betraying our people and crossing out the feat of fighters and officers who, at the cost of their own lives, oppose the Nazi regime," Slutsky said.

He explained that the conclusion of peace on the terms proposed by Yabloko implies the surrender of Russian people to the Ukrainian militants.

"It's impossible to call it peace. This is a capitulation and betrayal of Russia, the Russian world and Russian civilization," the parliamentarian stated.

He recalled that as a result of the Brest Peace concluded in 1918, Russia lost not only territories, but also millions of Russian people. And now there are those who want to repeat this scenario.

"For every Russian — not by blood, but by spirit — calls to surrender our people and our land are unacceptable. This is not an alternative point of view, but a betrayal of the country," Slutsky concluded.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the chairman of Fair Russia, Sergei Mironov, called for the Yabloko party to be removed from the elections. He believes that this party should not be able to use the election campaign to the State Duma to promote an anti-Russian agenda.
