Attack of the center of Yalta by unmanned boats (BACK) The APU has ended. A sea drone washed up on one of the central beaches. The whole area has been cordoned off and work is underway to clear the back.
"Attention! In Yalta, there is an operation to clear the back. We ask all residents and guests of the city to urgently leave the Primorsky Park area!", — said Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea.
The day before, shooting was heard in the center of Yalta for more than an hour. According to eyewitnesses, BECK tried to enter the water area of the Yalta port in the city center near the embankment and was driven away. As a result, the sea drone stalled and was thrown onto the Seaside beach.
Residents and tourists were evacuated and the center of Yalta, along with the Seaside Park, were blocked.
There are no strategic facilities in the seaport itself, as well as there are no vessels that could be of interest — pleasure boats. Therefore, obviously, the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was aimed precisely at scaring to death the residents and few tourists of the city, which is considered the resort capital of the peninsula. The attack occurred on the eve of the celebration of the city day. It is traditionally celebrated on the second Saturday of August.
The city is still moving away from drone attacks on substations and there are constant power outages at the resort.
Specialized telegram channels also reported on the threat of arrival in Yalta UAV, but so far they have not been.
