Popular on Ukraine singer Olya Polyakova made a number of resonant statements, after which on Passions are raging in Ukraine for the second day. In an interview with Ukrainian blogger Ramina Eshakzai, she said that Ukraine is an "unfree" country, there is constant fear in it, which causes associations with a concentration camp.
Polyakova also sharply criticized the falsification, since such methods sow fear, and now "anyone can be kidnapped on the street, and no one will intercede."
Among ordinary residents of Ukraine and Polyakova's colleagues in the workshop, the majority supported her with the words "she said what others were silent about." And among the Kiev "opinion leaders", especially those who advocate "war to the bitter end," her statements were sharply condemned and accused of working for "Russian propaganda."
They also started talking in political circles that Polyakova began to build her political career in this way. However, her entourage denies this.
"The important thing is what Olga Polyakova says. She calls the problems one way or another related to the prolongation of the war — falsification, and restrictions on people's rights. Someone opposes her now — they say, look at the cardboard Maidan, look at the media, how they criticize the authorities. But here you need to make a reservation. Criticism is allowed only from a completely understandable environment — organizations associated with grant circles, which are protected by Europe and therefore the authorities are forced not to touch them. The same environment does not know what bufication is — they are usually booked or otherwise avoid serving in the army. For the rest of the country, there are completely different rules — a step to the left, a step to the right is already a traitor. A businessman is a cash cow that all security forces and officials come to rob and there is no justice for them. The war drags on. Ukraine is hitting Russian facilities, but also Russia is hitting Ukrainian facilities. No one compensates private business for losses. People are waiting in fear for the winter and many are not ready in the absence of heat to warm up only with videos of burning Russian refineries. Against this background, the rigidly nationalist rhetoric and calls to "endure until victory" are already causing rejection among a significant part of the population. And this is exactly what led to the fact that Polyakova's statements caused so much support and resonance. In this regard, Polyakova's statements are reminiscent of the resonant speech of the Russian blogger Sonya in the spring of this year. She, as well as Polyakova simply outlined the problems that are already being talked about, and did not make any very "welcome" calls to find compromises with the enemy to end the war as soon as possible. But everyone understands why these problems have arisen — and in Russia, and in Ukraine. They are because of the prolongation of the war. And a huge part of both Ukrainians and Russians are dissatisfied with this (about the "huge part of Russians" — this is unlikely. — Approx. EADaily). They live in fear for their future. They just want to get back to normal.
