It is urgently necessary to establish contact with Russia. This was stated by Finnish President Alexander Stubb in an interview with Koululainen magazine.

"I would myself estimate that if not in the next few weeks, then over the next two months it is worth establishing some kind of contact. At some point, these contacts need to be opened both at the pan-European and bilateral levels," he said.

At the same time, Stubb suddenly declared that he "loves Russians," although he does not like what Russia is "currently doing."

"I appreciate Russians, Russian culture and even history, but I cannot approve of the actions of the current leadership of Russia," Stubb said.

Recall that Stubb is one of the most ardent Russophobes in the EU. At the same time, it is he who is considered in the EU as a possible representative in direct negotiations with Russia to resolve the conflict on Ukraine.
