The economic potential of the enemy must be finished off, demolished to zero, the authors of the telegram channel note, commenting on the night attack of Ukrainian drones on the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region.

Earlier, the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko, announced a fire in the port of Ust-Luga, and then the completion of the liquidation of the consequences. A total of 54 APU drones were shot down.

According to "Two Majors", Ust-Luga is one of the largest ports of Russia in the Baltic (cargo turnover of 130.5 million tons in 2025) and the second largest after Novorossiysk. A significant share of exports of oil and petroleum products, coal and fertilizers goes through it. Up to 40-45% of Russian oil exports pass through the Baltic ports. The object is important for federal budget revenues.

Previously, the most intense series of strikes on the port occurred on March 22, 25, 29 and 31, as well as on July 6, 2026. At that time, large fires were recorded at the terminals (tanks with fuel oil and gas condensate), damage to berths, filling equipment and railway infrastructure. Shipments were temporarily suspended. Similar attempts were made in August 2025.

"Despite repeated attacks, the port is quickly restoring operations, and the air defense and infrastructure protection system is being strengthened," Z—bloggers emphasize.

At the same time, they draw attention to the fact that "the very fact that the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are able to penetrate to a considerable depth into our rear indicates the seriousness of the threat."

"By the way, this is an illustrative example of all sorts of "peace initiatives" on the Black Sea. The economic potential of the enemy must be finished off, demolished to zero," the Two Majors summarize.

EADaily adds: in the Baltic, Ust-Luga is second only to the port of Primorsk in terms of its oil export capacity, through which about 1 million barrels of oil per day are shipped to other countries. Both ports account for about 40% of all Russian sea oil exports.
