"The court sentenced Akelkin ❸ to imprisonment for eight years, with the first part of the sentence served in prison for a period of two years, and the rest in a high—security penal colony, with a fine of 300,000 rubles. The court also confiscated funds in the amount of 4,073 rubles from Akelkin❸. 16 kopecks. to the federal budget of the Russian Federation, " the message says.
From March 2022 to March 2024, a citizen of the Russian Federation and the PMR Akelkin❸ was imbued with the ideology of a terrorist organization and decided to finance it.
"To this end, Akelkin❸ provided financial assistance to the community in the person of his supervisor while watching live broadcasts on the network "The Internet" with the participation of the latter, carried out nine money transfers from his bank account to the bank account used by the named terrorist community, opened for donations, totaling 4,073 rubles 16 kopecks," the court said.
In Toga, the court found him guilty of committing a crime under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (financing of terrorism). The article provides for up to life imprisonment, but the prosecutor requested 10 years in prison for the defendant.
The case was heard in open mode. Akelkin himself❸ took part in the meeting via video link from a pre-trial detention center near Moscow. He admitted his guilt and repented of what he had done.
