Ukrainian singer, former soloist of the popular once in Svetlana Loboda, the leader of the VIA Gra band, not only sang an Armenian song at a concert in Yerevan, causing a mixed reaction from the local audience, but also briefly sat down at the drum kit. The singer posted a video of her skill on her social network page.
In the video, the artist is sitting behind the drums and performs a solo for a couple of minutes quite masterfully, she owns the instrument confidently, since the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, where in the song Be My Valentine there is a similar fragment with percussion in the foreground. However, it is impossible to establish for sure whether only her drumming goes to the hall, or the artist's game is supported by a pre-recorded part. In Yerevan, drumming looks especially symbolic, since it was the drumming that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chose as a hobby.
In addition, at a concert in Yerevan, the singer performed Tigran Zhamkochyan's song "Hetd kgam" ("I'll go with you") in Armenian. At the same time, some fans of the actress did not appreciate flirting with the Yerevan audience, complaining that Loboda did not choose the best of the Armenian songs.
"I don't want to leave, it's so delicious and there are so many beautiful historical places! I managed a lot. I learned a little Armenian, recorded a song! I hope I didn't spoil it," Loboda shared in the comments.
A number of fans were dissatisfied with the technical problems at the concert of the Ukrainian star, in connection with which technical breaks were announced several times.
"At least apologize for the fact that three times we waited for 15 minutes for your problems!!! and the fact that the concert started an hour later!", "So many gorgeous Armenian hits, it was necessary to sing this nonsense", "Your most unsuccessful song", "But the song is not the most successful," some fans are dissatisfied.
At the same time, many fans emphasized that they were glad to be at Loboda's concert, noted the energy of the singer and the atmosphere of the concert, and also appreciated her number on the drums.
As EADaily reported, Pashinyan has repeatedly published videos of his rehearsals behind the drum kit as part of the Varchabend group. For the first time, the team performed for a narrow circle of colleagues in December 2025 at an internal party event of the Civil Contract party. On January 30, the band gave its first public concert, and later there were several more concerts in Armenian cities as part of the election campaign.
In May of this year, Pashinyan, together with French President Emmanuel Macron, performed Charles Aznavour's famous chanson La Bohème at an official dinner in Yerevan. Macron, sitting down with the Armenian jazz musician Vahagn Hayrapetyan at the piano and peeking into the cheat sheet, sang into the microphone in a rather pleasant baritone. Pashinyan habitually positioned himself behind the drum kit, supporting his European colleague.
