Russia is supplying Iran with explosives to replenish its missile and unmanned arsenal in the war with the United States, NBC News reports, citing a document from the European government and a Western official. It is specified that Russia supplies components for drones, ammunition and TNT through the Caspian Sea.

It is noted that Moscow is thereby helping Tehran to replenish stocks after the US and Israeli airstrikes. This indicates a deepening of the strategic alliance between Moscow and Tehran, the publication says.

The authenticity of the document was confirmed by an unnamed European official. According to NBC, the United States and Israel cannot intercept all cargo that travels between Russian and Iranian ports, since transportation is carried out through the Caspian Sea. It does not go to the ocean and is controlled by the Russian Federation, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

According to the government of one of the European countries, transportation continued after the Israeli attacks on the Bandar Anzali port complex on the northern coast of Iran, which could have been involved in the transit of weapons between Moscow and Tehran.
