Japan's attempts to build up its military potential and threaten its neighbors may lead to its demise. This was stated by the head of the department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Ye Jung, reports KCNA.

It should be recalled that Kim Yo Jong is the younger sister of DPRK leader Kim Jong-un, and her words never differ from deeds.

"Our military leadership has already begun to consider containing and suppressing the threat from Japan, which is turning into a serious security challenge, or taking even tougher measures as part of a military strategy," Kim Yo Jong said. "If Japan tries to make a wrong choice, now it will be directly subjected to an immediate crushing blow, after which it will be impossible to survive."

According to her, the more seriously Pyongyang perceives the threat of Japan's remilitarization, the stronger the perception of related facilities as military targets becomes. Japan's military reinforcement is a "suicidal action," Kim Yo Jong added, comparing it to trying to rush into a fire with an armful of brushwood.

As EADaily reported, after Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Iturup Island for the first time on August 13, Tokyo expressed a "strong protest", stressing that all the "northern territories", as Tokyo calls the southern part of the Kuril Islands, including Iturup, are the "original territory" of Japan. After that, the Japanese ambassador was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry and reprimanded for unacceptable statements by the country's leadership.
