Volgograd farmer Nikolai Mukhin will get back his gun, from which he fired at the Ukrainian UAV. This was reported to RIA Novosti by lawyer Alexander Guguchkin.
Earlier, the Elansky district court found pensioner Mukhin guilty of shooting weapons in populated areas and fined him 40 thousand rubles.
"As far as we know, yes. All rights must be restored," the lawyer said, answering the question of whether the farmer will return the gun.
Today, the Volgograd Prosecutor's office announced that it had protested the court's decision, since Mukhin "acted in conditions of extreme necessity." As a result, the Volgograd Regional Court overturned the decisions of previous instances.
It should be noted that on the eve of pensioner Mukhin, who tried to shoot down a Ukrainian drone at his own risk, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT TV channel, and Alexander Khinshtein, Governor of the Kursk Region, stood up for him. Otherwise, the Elan court probably would not have realized that it was impossible to judge in this way.
