Polish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pavel Radomsky was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country on August 28, where he was handed a note of protest in connection with the TVP World channel story.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the Polish side was "strongly protested" in connection with the story shown on August 26 in the Eastern Express program of the Polish public broadcasting company TVP.
The Foreign Ministry said that the material contained "biased, biased and completely unacceptable allegations directed against the Azerbaijani state and the country's leadership." The protest was also expressed in connection with the "provocative behavior of the host of the program."
"It was pointed out to the Polish diplomat that the dissemination of information distorting reality raises questions from the Azerbaijani side, especially during the normalization of relations and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as Baku's consistent efforts to ensure sustainable peace, stability and security in the region," the Foreign Ministry stressed.
Baku regarded the dissemination of materials of a "negative nature about Azerbaijan in a public television and radio company funded by the Polish government" as "an unfriendly step contrary to the spirit of partnership between the two countries and capable of causing serious damage to bilateral relations."
The Polish side was urged to take "immediate and effective measures to stop such provocative campaigns against Azerbaijan."
