New details have become known about the tragic incident involving the bombing of the car of a lieutenant colonel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Slavyanka microdistrict, which is located in Shushary near St. Petersburg.

According to the publication "Other Ukraine", the perpetrator of the terrorist attack was a 24-year-old woman, who is supposed to have been recruited by representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through a messenger a few months ago.

It is specified that she arrived in the city from another region and established surveillance of the target car on Kolpinsky highway, 18. In the evening of August 26, the attacker attached a powerful and sophisticated improvised explosive device directly under the driver's seat.

The explosion occurred on the morning of August 27 near a local store, when an officer and his wife were in the car. As a result of the detonation, both victims received severe injuries with leg amputation: the lieutenant colonel died on the spot, and doctors managed to save his wife, and now she is in intensive care.

Immediately after the installation of the bomb, the performer went to Pulkovo airport and by five in the morning on August 27 flew to Turkey. FSB and criminal investigation officers promptly identified her and contacted their Turkish colleagues.

However, the Turkish authorities reported that the suspect managed to leave the country, flying to Chisinau, from where she planned to get to the Ukrainian border. The Investigative Committee has already opened a criminal case on this fact, the article has not yet been clarified.

Earlier, EADaily reported that a strong explosion thundered in St. Petersburg at about 10 am on Kolpinsky highway near a grocery store. An explosive device went off in the car where the serviceman and his wife were staying.
