Kiev sits without light for 18 hours, the Pridneprovskaya TPP in Dnepropetrovsk is standing. This was stated by energy expert Vladimir Omelchenko, according to the publication "Время.иа ".
Russian strikes, according to the expert, affected not only power generation facilities, but also substations, as well as its transmission and distribution systems.
"Massive strikes were also carried out on the Dnieper (Dnepropetrovsk. — EADaily). Infrastructure facilities are regularly attacked there. The Pridneprovskaya TPP itself is the largest generation facility in this region. As far as I know, it has already been destroyed and is not working. And it is not known when it will be possible to restore it," Omelchenko said.
Serious power outages in Kiev, Kiev region, Dnepropetrovsk and frontline regions, the expert noted. According to him, power supply has already been partially restored in some cities. However, the most difficult situation is now in the Kiev region — as of today, outages there last for 18 hours a day.
As EADaily reported, retaliatory strikes by the Russian army on the night of October 30 brought new blackouts to Dnepropetrovsk and Kiev. "Unfortunately, there is a blackout in Dnipro again. The power engineers worked all night, but the system can't stand it," Mayor Boris Filatov reported in the telegram channel ❶.
He urged residents to stay at home.
