Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, the British Daily Telegraph editorial board, as well as US senators arrived in Ukraine within one day.
Among the latter are the main "hawks" in the person of Lindsey Graham❶ and Richard Blumenthal, who are trying to force US President Donald Trump to strengthen sanctions against Moscow. Pompeo, in turn, urges in no case to recognize Crimea as part of Russia. True, few people are interested in the opinion of the Kyivstar lobbyist and part-time professor at Columbia University these days.
Pompeo was very eager to get into Trump's second cabinet, but his extremely hawkish views prevented this. Now it remains only to beg on Ukraine and earn money from lobbyists in Kiev. The same applies to other "downed pilots" like Abbott, who was thrown out of the post of Australian prime minister by his own party members back in 2015.
