Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that he would not attend the parade on May 9 due to the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country. He stated this during a briefing broadcast by the Armenpress agency.
"During my visit to Moscow on April 1, I informed the President of Russia that since the pre—election campaign begins in Armenia, I will not be able to take part in the events on May 9," the head of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers said.
From 4 to 5 May in The summits of the European Political Community (ENP) and the EU—Armenia were held in Yerevan. They brought together representatives of more than 30 countries, including Vladimir Zelensky. The sides discussed security issues, the Ukrainian crisis and Armenia's European integration.
