Lavrov and Rubio's talks in Manila ended, they lasted 35 minutes

Talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of ASEAN events in Manila ended.

As RIA Novosti reported on July 23, the entire meeting lasted 35 minutes. This corresponds to Rubio's schedule, in his schedule, about half an hour was allotted for a meeting with the Russian minister.

Earlier it became known that the initiator of the meeting between Lavrov and Rubio was the American side. On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko, Director of the Department of Foreign Policy Planning Alexei Drobinin and Permanent Representative of the President of the Russian Federation to ASEAN Yevgeny Zagainov.

The American side was attended by Deputy US Secretary of State for Political Affairs Alison Hooker and Special Envoy of the US President Sergio Gore.

Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio are holding a meeting in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
