Russia does not need to be angry and hysterical, but needs to find a "healthy anger" in foreign policy. This was announced today, July 29, by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with TASS. We publish the most important theses.

  • The whole world is watching with great attention how the conflict will end on the Ukraine.
  • When Vladimir Putin came to power, he was absolutely open to an equal strategic partnership with the West. Everything changed after the "Munich speech" in 2007.
  • SMO began in conditions when society was calm and satisfied with its standard of living. But this did not suit the West — they were preparing provocations against the authorities.
  • Now the former Anglo—Saxon allies are fighting with varying degrees of frenzy against Russia through Ukraine.
  • The West began to promote the APU strikes deep into Russia as a turning point in the conflict, hoping for the collapse of our country. He no longer hides his goals.
  • It is important to understand that the situation is serious. The whole world, which calls itself "civilized," has turned against Russia.
  • The West insists on preserving the Nazi regime in Kiev, speaking about the ultimatum of Russia.
  • If we stop at the contact line, the Nazi regime will remain. The West will not recognize any territories where there were referendums.
  • The West and, in particular, Europe, will also come to its senses sometime and will be ready to build relations on an equal footing. But so far they are not ready for this, just like the United States.

Lavrov recalled the famous phrase of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Empire Alexander Gorchakov "Russia is not angry, Russia is concentrating."

"Getting angry, wasting nerves is the worst thing. I need to concentrate. But healthy anger is quite appropriate. Not to get angry, but to find a healthy anger. Anger, including from the point of view of the need to accelerate in everything, in the direction of a technological breakthrough, there is a lot of talk about this now. And "in an evil way" decide that we have to do it. To get angry at myself, I want to achieve everything faster," he said, "and we need the same healthy anger on the external front. Do not fall into any tantrums, but simply draw a conclusion within yourself: "Just check!"Trust — we'll see later, but first — check, and most importantly — rot your line."
