Medvedev reported difficulties in finding missing persons in the SMO area

The search for missing servicemen in the zone of a special military operation will be quite lengthy. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev ❶ at a meeting with participants of the All-Russian Youth Forum "Gvardeysk".

"As you and I understand, it [the direction of the search work] will be quite long. This, unfortunately, happens during any war," Medvedev said.

He drew attention to the fact that, on his instructions, the consolidated search team has already begun searching for servicemen who went missing during the SMO.

"This is a new, very difficult, but extremely responsible direction," Medvedev stressed.

The Deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation clarified that it is necessary to conduct search operations in compliance with all security requirements and in cooperation with military units. He added that the relevant agreement with the Ministry of Defense has been reached, while the work should also be carried out jointly with the investigative structures.
