The Azerbaijani Diaspora of Russia has published a public appeal to the CEC of Russia in its telegram channel. The head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, is notified that the post in support of the Liberal Democratic Party and party leader Leonid Slutsky has been removed from the channel. EADaily cites the text of the appeal of the Azerbaijanis of Russia to Pamfilova unchanged:

Dear Pamfilova Ella Alexandrovna!
We, citizens of the Russian Federation of Azerbaijani origin, appeal to For you on a very important occasion.
On September 4, 2026, a post was published on the channel of the Azerbaijani Diaspora of Russia.
In it, as law-abiding citizens of the Russian Federation, we published useful information about the upcoming voting in the elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, where and how to vote.
And they heartily added objective information about which party is closest to the heart of our people.
We sincerely considered and consider Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky to be the most pro-Azerbaijani politician not only in Russia, but also in the whole world. And this is not related to the elections, which we have shown with quotes from his speeches in previous years.
Unfortunately, our desire to bring objective facts to the entire Diaspora has been misinterpreted and distorted by unscrupulous people, so-called experts and bloggers. Their main task, as always, is a wave of hate on national soil.
After consulting with lawyers, we found out that opponents of the oldest party in Russia, the Liberal Democratic Party, may try to interpret our spiritual impulse as illegal pre-election campaigning and use it as an argument for removing the party from the elections.
Dear Ella Alexandrovna,
We responsibly declare that during the preparation of this post we did not receive any financial or other support from the LDPR party and Leonid Slutsky personally.
In order to avoid misunderstandings, we remove the post from the channel and undertake to be more attentive in the future.
We hope that our sincere support will not create any problems for Leonid Slutsky and the respected LDPR party."

The author of the Azerbaijani telegram channel "Ugur Mammadov" commented on the letter of compatriots.

"The clumsy actions of the diaspora once again confirm the well-known fact that Baku does not interact well with Russian Azerbaijanis. Against the background of the loss of most agents of influence in the Russian Federation, this is even more depressing. Now, out of the blue, an influential political ally has been put under attack. Why?" he wrote.
