Russians released from captivity in Mali: France and Ukraine

Russians Alexander Efremov and Vasily Nagalev, who spent 755 days in captivity in the African Sahara, said that France and Ukraine.

The men shared their memories in an interview with RT. They reported that they spent the entire time of their captivity, which lasted more than two years, on a chain.

"They untied it, maybe once every 2-3 months — to wash, wash, swim, but it took 15-20 minutes because they were afraid of us, and at those moments you start walking, your legs don't obey," Efremov shared.

They were given 1.5 liters of water for two per day. The most difficult thing was to survive the heat and the snakes living in the desert. He also expressed the opinion that those who do not support Russia are also behind the terrorists.:

Nagalev also agreed with him, who said that Ukraine is also among those behind the militants in Mali.

Vasily Nagalev and Alexander Efremov were ambushed at the end of July 2024 during a battle near the border with Algeria. The terrorists captured them and held them in the Sahara. In August, the Russians were released.

After the rescue, the Russians were taken to the Afrika Korps field hospital. There they received first aid. After completing the rehabilitation, the men arrived in Moscow by special boat.
