As the offensive progresses: the evacuation zone in the occupied part of the DPR has been expanded

As Russia continues its offensive, the mandatory evacuation zone for families with children in the part of the DPR occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was expanded on September 16, and now includes the village of Novodonetskoye, additional districts of Slavyansk and some nearby villages, "First Kharkov" reports.

"This expanded evacuation zone covers about 159 square kilometers, reducing the area controlled by Ukraine, where evacuation orders are not in force, to about 1,451 square kilometers, which is about 5.47% of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic or only about 2.73% of the territory of Donbass, " the report says.

The evacuation zone now includes the urban-type settlement of Novodonetskoye, the villages of Iverskoye, Shostakovka, Novosamarskoye, Adamovka, Nikolskoye, Krestishche and Glubokaya Makatikha, as well as part of the village of Sukhanovka.

"The evacuation zone also includes most of the northern suburbs of Slavyansk, and now about 41.5% of the city are subject to evacuation, which is an increase compared to the previous 27.7%. About 10% of the city of Kramatorsk is still in the mandatory evacuation zone for families with children", the publication notes.
