Odessa Governor, ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili receives his salary from the United States. The governor has posted on Facebook a document proving it.
A month before his appointment as Odessa Governor, Saakashvili was employed at the New International Leadership Institute in Washington, and his annual gross salary is $200,000. The incomes from lectures and public speeches will be added to it. The Institute was established this year and is set to train “leaders of the new generation” who will be working in Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
As EADaily reported earlier, Saakashvili’s monthly salary on the post of the Odessa Governor became known shortly after his appointment – 5644 hryvnia (abount $267). Vladimir Kulakov, the head of staff at the Odessa Regional State Administration has confirmed that information.
