The transfer of Ukrainian military reserves from the Zaporozhye region to Donbass and to Sumy region was not in vain. Russian troops began to advance in the south.
According to the Ukrainian monitoring resource DeepState, Russian assault units have advanced in the area of Marfopol towards Gulyai-Pole (Zaporozhye region).
At the same time, the situation in the main directions of the Donbass front remains difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian offensive there does not stop, despite the introduction of new forces by the enemy.
Ukrainian sources confirm that in the Pokrovsky direction, after the capture of Ukrainsk, our troops from the northern part entered the town of Gornyak and are advancing in its residential development.
There is also no good news for Kiev in the Kurakhovsky direction. After a short break, the Russian military resumed advancing in the direction of Tsukurino. This is the last point all the way to Kurakhovo, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces can set up a line of defense.
The Ukrainian side also confirmed that on the northern flank in Grodovka, the Russian Armed Forces pushed the Ukrainian Armed Forces beyond the line of the Zhuravka River and gained a foothold on the western bank. According to DeepState, Russian forces already control more than 70% of the village.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, began transferring reserves from Zaporozhye to Sumy region and Pokrovsk. Thus, Kiev abandoned plans to launch an attack on the Zaporozhye NPP.
