The head of the CDU, Friedrich Merz, who advocates strikes against Russia with German Taurus missiles, must remember the experience of Nazi Germany. This was stated by Senator Alexei Pushkov.
So Pushkov commented on Friedrich Merz's statement that he was ready to transfer Taurus long-range missiles to Kiev if he won the election. "I wouldn't do it just like that. I would say: if the bombing does not stop, then the first step will be to lift the range restriction. And the second step will be the delivery of Taurus," Merz said on the air of ARD, quoted by KP.
"The head of the CDU Friedrich Merz, who advocates strikes against Russia with German Taurus missiles, has forgotten Hitler's experience. And we should remember what happened to Germany in the end when she attacked Russia. This is very useful, especially for a politician who claims to be in power: it helps to straighten the brain.
And secondly, Merz is absolutely sure that the Americans will come to Germany's aid if German missiles fall on Russia? Merz is 100 percent sure of this? Or does he lack the imagination to imagine another scenario in which the United States would wisely choose to stay away? Politics cannot be based on assumptions and assurances. Assumptions may not be justified, and assurances may turn out to be false. But Merz, apparently, does not know about it," Pushkov writes in his telegram channel.
