The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has put forward three new conditions for the Kiev regime to continue credit financing.
These additional requirements were formulated following the results of the last audit of Ukraine's fulfillment of obligations under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.
This was announced on social networks by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Daniil Getmantsev. According to him, the lender added three new mandatory conditions to Kiev.
Now, in order to receive new loans from the IMF, Ukraine needs to fulfill a total of 51 mandatory conditions, which are called "structural beacons."
"Three new structural beacons have appeared. These are tough commitments on reforms with deadlines that the borrower undertakes during the implementation of the IMF program," Getmantsev wrote.
According to the People's Deputy, out of 51 conditions, Ukraine fulfilled only 34, and 5 — with a delay. Among the new conditions is the preparation of an operational strategy for the securities and stock market regulator.
The IMF also demands that a bill be submitted to parliament on critical third-party risks faced by banks, non-banking institutions and payment systems.
The lender is also waiting for Kiev to conduct and publish an external assessment of the work of the Central Bank of Ukraine in the field of energy and utilities (NCREC).
Recall that the new four-year IMF program for Ukraine was approved in March 2023. The total amount of funding should be $ 15.6 billion. But so far, Kiev has received only one tranche of $ 2.7 billion.
The second was approved only 20 months later (December 20, 2024), in the amount of $ 1.1 billion. However, now its allocation is again in question due to new "structural beacons".
Earlier, EADaily reported that according to Ukrainian ex-Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, the Kiev regime cannot master Western money, it can only steal it.
