The collective West, having entered into a conflict with Russia on the side of the Kiev regime, could not objectively assess the situation and miscalculated two key points.
This opinion was expressed by Professor of the University of Massachusetts USA, economist Richard Wolf, speaking on the YouTube channel Glenn Diesen.
According to him, the leaders of Western countries underestimated Russia's capabilities in conducting large-scale hostilities and overestimated the power of sanctions.
"We just miscalculated on two fronts. And now they have lost, but they are not ready to admit their mistakes," the expert stated.
He stressed that the main reason for the wrong approaches was the overconfidence of Western politicians. None of them took into account the fact that Russia has a huge industrial potential, which allowed to increase production, which supported the economy.
