Georgia was the first of the EU candidate countries to refuse to follow Brussels' instructions in both domestic and foreign policy, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov writes in his telegram channel. "Ursula von der Leyen, with her militant recommendations, neo-pagan values and irrepressible aggressiveness towards Russia, was politely but firmly offered to "smoke bamboo." Her vaunted "levers" for falsifying elections with Georgia did not work, although the elections there were held contrary to her wishes, and her protege Zurabishvili was "rolled" on them, and with a breeze," Pushkov recalled.

The European Union failed to repeat the Maidan in Tbilisi. And it is no coincidence, according to Pushkov, according to Viktor Orban, that now the EU is afraid of Georgia and envious of the state of its economy.

"The Georgian authorities bet on the interests of their country, not the Brussels liberal dictatorship, and they won," Pushkov believes.

As EADaily reported, at a press conference after talks with his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze in Budapest, Orban recalled that in 2022 global liberals tried to shake up the situation - and in Hungary, and in Georgia, in order to prevent the current governments from being preserved.

"The Georgian government is a beast that Brussels is afraid to face face to face. It was Georgia that first decided to resist. And this feeling is close to us," said the Hungarian Prime Minister.

The Hungarian Prime minister also called Georgia's economic growth "an amazing achievement," which Budapest also wants to achieve.

At the same time, Orban expressed support for the process of Georgia's integration with the EU, with which Tbilisi quarreled over independence in domestic and foreign policy.
