Iran has launched a new wave of retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli territory, the launch of missiles is carried out from the capital, the city of Tehran, as well as from the city of Kermanshah, the province of the same name bordering Iraq in western Iran, Nour News agency reports.
"A new wave of Iranian missile strikes on Israel has begun, (the attacks are carried out) from Tehran and Kermanshah," the agency said in a statement.
On the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale operation in which the Air Force strikes military targets and facilities of Iran's nuclear program. The Israeli authorities said that the operation is aimed at preventing a threat to the existence of the Jewish state, since, according to the Israeli military and intelligence, Iran has approached the "point of no return" in the creation of nuclear weapons in a short time.
The Israeli Air Force carried out several waves of attacks in various parts of Iran, including Tehran, where, according to Iranian media, some high-ranking Iranian military and a number of nuclear scientists were eliminated. The nuclear facility in Natanz, the location of the Iranian military in the north-west of the country, was also hit.
The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his message to the citizens of the country, called Israel's strikes on Iran a crime and said that Israel was waiting for a "bitter and terrible fate."
