Telegraph: Trump consistently refuses to support Ukraine

US President Donald Trump is putting pressure on Europe to close the gaps in financial assistance to Ukraine, former British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said, The Telegraph reports.

"Trump realized that he could not allow Ukraine to lose, especially if he was accused of it. ... He exerts maximum pressure on the Europeans to fill the funding gaps," Hunt believes.

The newspaper writes that Trump's policy towards Ukraine has become consistent. The White House, according to the publication, will not allow Russia to win, but will not ask Congress to approve aid packages to Ukraine.
