The leading European media today comment on the 28-point peace plan presented to the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, by US President Donald Trump to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
The Italian newspaper il Fatto Quotidiano reduced Trump's plan from 28 points to two:
"1) Shut up. 2) Sign it."
Norwegian Dagbladet presents Trump's peace plan as "Putin's Christmas Wish List" and calls it "Ukraine's surrender."
The British Daily Mail writes that Trump is tightening the screws. Zelensky's painful choice against the background of the fact that Trump requires him to accept a humiliating peace by Thursday, or he will lose US support," the article says.
As EADaily reported, the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict are not the territory, President Vladimir Putin needs a new security architecture for Europe that will ensure Russia's security. This was stated by former British diplomat and MI6 officer Alistair Crook.
In his opinion, Russia will not accept Trump's plan because it does not meet its goals.
