The crew of the tanker "Mariner" captured on January 7 in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, as the White House press service informs, will appear in court. Details are provided by TASS.
According to Washington, whose military seized a second vessel flying the Russian flag in the Caribbean, the Marinera is part of Venezuela's "shadow fleet". The ship's crew allegedly violated US sanctions by illegally transporting Venezuelan oil.
EADaily previously also informed that the presence of Russians on the tanker "Mariner" was confirmed.
