The United States warned India about the inadmissibility of attempts to circumvent the American blockade in The Strait of Hormuz after the death of three Indian citizens on a ship that was attacked by the United States. This is stated in a statement by the State Department following a telephone conversation between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar.
"The Secretary of State stressed that all commercial vessels must immediately follow the orders of US forces that seek to maintain peace and security in the strait. He emphasized that violations of the American blockade and illegal transportation of Iranian oil will not be allowed," the report said.
The statement came after New Delhi summoned an American diplomat in connection with a strike on a ship off the coast of Oman, which killed three Indian sailors.
