Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov answered uncomfortable questions from journalists about the massive attack on Moscow carried out by Kiev on the eve of June 18.
"Indeed, drone attacks continue. Appropriate measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences," the Kremlin spokesman said.
At the same time, he pointed to "high performance of air defense systems, no matter what."
"The Kiev regime is in a very difficult position. The situation on the fronts will soon become quite catastrophic for the Ukrainian side. That's what it's all about," Peskov said.
"The Kiev regime continues its line, this is not a negotiating line," he added.
As EADaily reported, on June 18, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin informed that a total of 194 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down on approach to the capital, it was the most massive attack on Moscow. According to Sobyanin, "several drones managed to reach the MNPZ." In addition, the wreckage of an enemy drone fell on the territory of the Sadovod shopping complex, which is located in the Moscow district of Kapotnya.
The governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, said that after a drone raid by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in five cities of the Moscow region, 17 residents, including two children, were injured of varying severity.
