Europe is approaching the beginning of the Third World War, Moscow will simply be forced to respond to the escalation. This was stated by Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT TV channel, in an interview with Swiss journalist Roger Keppel.
"Almost every step that Europe is taking now brings us closer and closer and closer. Perhaps there are a few weeks or months left before the inevitable Third World War," Simonyan said.
This is due both to the rhetoric of Europe and to the way it is arming Ukraine, allowing it to use European weapons against the civilian population of Russia. Now it is Europe that is "escalating and bringing the war to Moscow" — and therefore Moscow "will be obliged to respond sooner or later."
Simonyan recalled that Ukraine has never had its own weapons for strikes on the territory of Russia, as well as its satellite reconnaissance.
"Europe is doing this by the hands of Ukraine. And we understand this very well," she said.
Simonyan added that the Russian person is patient, but this patience may run out, and then there will be nothing left but to answer.
"For example, to hit those factories that produce weapons that are supplied to Ukraine," suggested the editor-in-chief. "If Europe continues to expand Ukraine's capabilities to advance the war deep into Russian territory, we will have to answer to Europe."
