Latvia suddenly realized that there is no danger from Russia

Currently, there is no direct military threat from Russia to Latvia. This was stated by the President of the Republic Edgars Rinkevics.

According to him, at the moment there is no immediate military threat to Latvia from Russia, but "sabotage threats" are not excluded.

"We see that the situation is changing quite dynamically — what was relevant a few months ago is no longer relevant, but something new is emerging. Therefore, I am very grateful to our security structures... I also urge the public to be vigilant. If you notice something suspicious, report it immediately," he said.

The Latvian President also stressed that it is almost impossible to foresee everything and be ready for absolutely everything, and "we need to talk honestly about it."

Recall, the authorities of the Baltic countries had previously constantly said that Russia was going to attack them. At the same time, Rinkevics stated that he had received intelligence information about the likelihood of Russian provocations against the countries of the region. In Moscow, such statements are called nonsense.
