Donald Tusk is waiting for the spread of the Ukrainian conflict to the territory of Poland. The Prime minister of the country stated this at a briefing at the State Security Center, the radio station RMF24 reports.

This is how he commented on today's Russian attacks near the Ukrainian-Polish border.

According to Tusk, " the escalation of Russia's actions is becoming a fact, and its examples are getting closer and closer to our border". The attempt to paralyze border crossings is not the first such event, he noted.

" We must understand that from today we will act much more intensively. We know and can expect that the coming weeks and months will be a period of very intensive actions on the part of Russia. Unfortunately, we cannot rule out that the escalation will cover our territory as well. I hope the worst-case scenario doesn't come true. Unfortunately, the events that have been taking place so far confirm the information that we have been receiving for many months that even these worst-case scenarios are possible," Tusk said.

Tusk stressed that he does not want to sow panic, but there is no doubt that "we must be ready for a joint reaction if necessary". "This night's attacks show that the Russians are ready to use more dangerous weapons than before. I mean jet drones. Their range and accuracy are alarming. Of course, Ukraine, which is very well prepared to protect against drones, is also, to put it mildly, not capable of fighting them 100% effectively", he explained his thought.

As the Deputy head of the Ministry of Defense, Cesary Tomchik, said at the same briefing, 13 strikes were recorded today during an attack by Russian UAV drones in Western Ukraine.

"Therefore, we must understand that Russia has such opportunities. Therefore, I will also be waiting for information on how ready we are for the possible use of drones and related attempts to disrupt our work — be it railways or workplaces. I do not rule out that similar situations may occur in our country", Tusk commented on this figure.

As reported by EADaily, if Russia had attacked Poland, the Poles would have quickly won, according to the country's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. "We have an overwhelming superiority over Russia in aviation, " he said without any hesitation.
