According to the ministry, the personnel and military equipment of the Kazakh army are sent to Russia to participate in the CSTO exercises.

"In the period from September 24 to October 3 of this year, the CSTO exercises "Interaction — 2026", "Search — 2026" and "Echelon — 2026 " are scheduled to be held on the territory of the Russian Federation. As part of the preparation and conduct of the exercises, from September 21 to October 5, the planned movement of military equipment and personnel by rail through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Misyash station (Chelyabinsk Region, Russia) and back is carried out ", the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

During the exercises, field exercises will be held, which will test the skills of troop regrouping, command management and task execution.

"The events are held in accordance with the approved combat training plans of the CSTO member states. The "Interaction — 2026", "Search — 2026" and "Echelon — 2026" exercises are held on a regular basis and alternately in the territories of the organization's member states, " the statement of the Ministry of Defense further says.
