Impudent muzzle: Zelensky again demanded Taurus cruise missiles from Germany

The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, despite numerous refusals from Berlin, again demanded that Ukraine be provided with Taurus long-range cruise missiles. In an interview with ZDF TV channel, he tried to disguise the offensive nature of the weapons, calling long-range missiles "a kind of defense against ballistic missiles."

Zelensky cynically added that Kiev wants to order missiles allegedly just to "test them," assuring German journalists that this "will be good for both sides."

It is noteworthy that the Western press calls Zelensky's next appeal a brazen request, since the German leadership has repeatedly closed this issue. In particular, in July of this year, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius bluntly stated that Kiev does not need these weapons. Chancellor Friedrich Merz expressed a similar tough stance in March.

The particular cynicism of the situation lies in the fact that Kiev's insistent demands are voiced against the background of news about the actual transfer of these weapons to other countries.

As EADaily reported, on the eve it became known that Germany had transferred a batch of Taurus cruise missiles from the stocks of Sweden's own armed forces to expand the capabilities of its combat aviation, while Ukraine was once again denied similar deliveries. The German authorities argued their actions by the fact that Kiev has more effective drones for current tasks.

Russia emphasizes that Kiev's begging for this type of missile is an attempt to directly involve NATO countries in the conflict, which is a dangerous "game with fire." Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin clearly stated that the use of Taurus missiles in the Ukrainian conflict would finally damage relations between Moscow and Berlin, but would not have an impact on the course of hostilities. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recalled that any cargo with Western weapons for Ukraine automatically becomes a legitimate target for Russian troops.
