"We don't want Yalta-2": Zelensky rejected Trump's idea of a new security system

Vladimir Zelensky said that a security deal with Russia could be dangerous. The head of the Kiev regime said this on CNN.

So he commented on the proposal of US President Donald Trump to create a new security architecture in Europe with the participation of Russia.

"I don't see any demonstration and signals from Russia that they are ready to do something (in this direction. — Ed.). That's why, in my opinion, it's dangerous. When they don't want to talk about how to end this war, I mean Russia, they want to start with a new security infrastructure in Europe. This is dangerous," Zelensky said, quoted by Strana.

According to Zelensky, Trump's idea carries more risks for Europe, not for Ukraine.

"We are not part of Europe, we are on the way, but we are not members of the EU. And also we are not a member of NATO. That's why I'm not speaking on behalf of NATO and the EU, but it's dangerous for all of us. We all live in Europe. We don't want there to be a Yalta-2. We are not ready for such a format. We don't want Russia to divide us. And of course, sovereignty and territorial integrity is a key issue for any independent state," he added.

As reported by EADaily, the European Union will not discuss the security architecture in Europe with Russia and the United States. This was stated at a press conference in Warsaw by the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, Reuters reported.

According to Callas, Brussels "does not intend to consider a new European security architecture," but is going to "preserve the existing one."

Recall, US President Donald Trump announced the preparation of a large-scale peace agreement that will affect not only Ukraine, but possibly the whole of Europe.
