Donald Trump's campaign team seems to be introducing a new line this week, claiming that his Democratic rival Kamala Harris has "alcohol problems." This is reported by Newsweek magazine.
"No evidence has been presented to support the accusations that Trump's allies are promoting on social media. Trump campaign insider James Blair is believed to have been the first person to make unsubstantiated claims, posting a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, and other accounts supporting Trump subsequently repeated the accusations," the publication writes.
James Blair, the political director of the Trump campaign, wrote on the social network X that, according to rumors, Harris has serious problems with alcohol.
"There are a lot of rumors that Kamala has serious problems with alcohol... obviously, they become the focus of attention as the campaign heats up," he said.
The post was accompanied by a note "liked" by 9 thousand users, almost 4 thousand shared it with their subscribers, and the number of views reached 5 million at the time of publication in the magazine.
"American satirists believe that Kamala is "under the influence of a Russian agent." And they even bring a photo of this agent. Is it really true?" — political commentator Vladimir Kornilov comments on the picture of the day.
