Kirill Budanov❶ may soon leave the post of head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition NV with reference to an informed source in law enforcement agencies.
"The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, may leave his post in the near future, presumably his successor has already been elected," NV writes in its telegram channel.
According to the source, the current head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, 55-year-old Oleg Ivashchenko, may become Budanov's successor.
The interlocutor of NV denied the information that Budanov ❶ is going to be sent as an ambassador to a foreign country.
