The State Duma deputy from United Russia, General Andrei Gurulev, said that his transfer from the defense committee to the committee on regional Policy and local self-government was connected with the parliamentarian's "active work" concerning the lives of Russians on the ground.

We will continue to solve the most pressing and acute issues," Gurulev assured.
As EADaily reported, the State Duma regulations Commission submitted a draft resolution on Gurulev's "withdrawal" from the defense committee. The issue will be considered at the plenary session of the State Duma on February 11.
